Cornish units props & plaster
Some Cornish units have plasterboard internal walls which remain in place, as the new cavity wall will be wider than the existing concrete panel walls the foundations are extended. It is possible to put the doors and windows back in different positions and different sizes as it is only the plasterboard which needs to be cut back or made good for plastering.
If you can see plywood sheets covering up the Cornish PRC walls you will usually find that the internal walls are plastered directly on to theĀ PRC concrete panels these walls have to be removed. Doors and windows can be put back in different positions and in different sizes. Some doors on Cornish units are very narrow and can be replaced with standard width doors.
