Unity Type 2 PRC house
PRC repairs Essex ready for the start, the Clients already owned their Unity type 2 house and were looking to have a PRC Homes Ltd approved repair scheme carried out as they wanted the Unity house to be accepted by mortgage lenders when it is sold in the future. The repairs are usually completed in about 6 to 8 weeks and they lived in the house during the building works. A new porch was added to this repaired Unity house after undergoing a PRC Homes Ltd approved repair scheme
A new brick archway was added with a polycarbonate roof to the side area which is used for storage
The windows and doors were refitted and french doors were added leading into the conservatory
The tiled gable apex was removed and replaced with brickwork. The new cavity walls contain insulation making these Unity houses warmer and cheaper to heat. The building works conform to current building regulations and are signed off by the Local Authority Building Inspector
On a Unity type 2 house the internal block wall remains in place
The windows are removed and boarded over during the removal of the concrete PRC exterior walls
