Cornish Unit Type 1

Cornish house repaired using a PRC Homes Ltd approved repair scheme. The Clients have recently purchased the property under the right to buy scheme and arranged a mortgage with the Halifax.

The Halifax advanced the purchase price so that the Clients could complete on the purchase of the Cornish house from the Local Authority. Once the Clients owned the property the building repairs could start, once these repair works were completed and the PRC certificate was issued, the Halifax could then release the retention funds to pay for the PRC repairs.

The concrete PRC walls on a Cornish unit type 1 are removed and replaced with a traditional cavity wall.

New doors and windows were fitted along with french doors to the rear garden.
